About Title I
Title
I is a partner in providing educational excellence for students who need extra
help in order to be successful in school.
Chicopee Public Schools
receive over 3 million dollars in federal funds for students who need assistance
in reading & mathematics and the social support services that are necessary
for social & school success.
In schools with high percentages of children from low-income families, school-wide Title I programs serve all children. In Chicopee the school-wide Title I elementary schools are Barry, Belcher, Bowe, Lambert-Lavoie, Litwin, Selser, and Stefanik as well as Bellamy Middle School and Fairview Memorial Middle School.
The Title I program also
offers opportunities for parents to get involved in their child’s education.
Your involvement shows your child how important he or she is to you and how
important an education is also. Please see the Parent Programs
page for the parent programs
that are available and the Parent Tips
page for helpful suggestions for parents.
For more information
about Title I or any of the programs offered, please speak to the principal of
your child’s school or Contact Us
at the Title I office.
